Terms of Use

Effective October 7, 2026

This website and c0depad product information are provided by Wataru Watanabe (w22 digital lab). Contact: hello@w22.dev. These terms explain website use and product responsibilities. They do not replace the terms presented by a purchase platform or any applicable software license.

1. The product and availability

c0depad is a Mac code scratchpad with local editing and persistent scratch buffers. It is not a hosted code-storage, collaboration, or backup service. No c0depad login is required.

The direct-download edition is sold through Gumroad. The Mac App Store edition is not currently available; this website does not offer an App Store download or promise approval or a release date.

2. Purchases, prices, and refunds

Direct download: the advertised base price is US$5 for a one-time purchase through Gumroad, not a subscription. The checkout shows the final amount, including any applicable taxes or currency conversion. Review the product listing and any seller refund policy displayed at checkout before buying. Gumroad’s terms govern its checkout and payment services.

For a Gumroad purchase problem or refund request, use your Gumroad receipt or email hello@w22.dev with the order reference. Eligibility depends on the policy applicable to your purchase and applicable law; these terms do not promise an unconditional refund or add a blanket “no refunds” rule.

Mac App Store: if that edition becomes available, it is intended as a separate one-time purchase with no subscription or in-app purchases. The App Store will show the applicable storefront price and taxes. Apple will handle billing and updates under its Apple Media Services terms and applicable app license terms. To request a refund for an Apple purchase, follow Apple’s refund instructions; Apple determines eligibility subject to applicable consumer law.

A purchase through one channel does not, by itself, promise a free entitlement through the other. A one-time payment is not a guarantee of indefinite support, every future major version, or compatibility with every future macOS release.

3. Your content and local data

Your code and other content remain yours; using the app does not give us ownership of them. You are responsible for having permission to use content you edit and for reviewing any changes before relying on them.

Scratch buffers and preferences are stored locally. Save important work to files and maintain your own backups. Removing local app data, clearing scratch text, uninstalling software, or a device failure can affect your work; persistence is not a backup guarantee. See the privacy policy for local storage and file access.

4. Responsible use and intellectual property

Use the site and app lawfully. Do not disrupt the website, attempt unauthorized access, or use the services to infringe others’ rights. Respect copyright and other rights in the website, product, and third-party materials. This paragraph does not restrict rights granted by applicable law or an open-source license.

c0depad uses third-party and open-source components. Their license terms and attribution notices continue to apply to those components and are not overridden by these website terms. For example, the bundled JetBrains Mono font is subject to the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Preserve applicable notices when exercising rights under a component’s license; contact support if you need help locating a notice.

Any software license supplied with a download, and any applicable App Store license and usage rules for a future Store edition, govern that software. These website terms do not create a new device limit or waive rights granted by those licenses.

5. Updates, external services, and support

The direct-download app can check GitHub-hosted release services for signed updates. Editing itself works locally. A future Mac App Store edition would receive updates through Apple, without the direct-download updater. Website hosting, analytics, purchases, and optional support have separate data practices described in our privacy policy.

External services are operated by their respective providers. Their availability and policies can change. Support is available through our support page; no particular response time or service-level agreement is promised here.

6. Reliability and consumer protections

We aim to provide accurate product information and useful software, but cannot promise uninterrupted website access, error-free operation, or suitability for every workflow. Verify outputs and keep backups of important data. No additional warranty or guarantee is offered by this page beyond what is stated for your purchase or required by law.

Nothing in these terms excludes, limits, or waives mandatory statutory consumer rights, applicable legal warranties, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Purchase-platform terms do not remove protections that apply to you under law.

7. Changes and questions

Product information and these terms may be updated; the effective date above identifies this version. Changes do not remove rights that already apply to your purchase. For a question or concern, email hello@w22.dev.
